Details for Case #12891
This 35-year-old woman was unhappy about her very pale lips. Tired of reapplying lipstick to keep her makeup looking fresh, she decided to explore her options for permanent makeup in Los Angeles. After researching several plastic surgeons, she contacted Marina Plastic Surgery Associates for a consultation with one of our board-certified plastic surgeons.
During her consultation, she expressed her concerns about her pale lip color and asked what her options were. Her surgeon explained that permanent makeup is a fairly straight-forward procedure that involves injecting micropigment underneath the skin to enhance the color of the skin. Although micropigmentation is used for numerous other cosmetic concerns, such as diminishing the appearance of scars, it is frequently used for applying permanent “makeup,” such as lipstick, to the face.
He would start by creating a custom color for her lips and then would inject the pigment into her lips, making them a pinkish-red. The procedure was relatively short and after a 3 day waiting period to exfoliate bright color skin (the healing process), her lips will have a fresh look permanently. She was thrilled with the results of her procedure and was grateful to her Los Angeles cosmetic surgeon for providing her with a new look.
