Details for Case #12842
Over the years, this 50-year-old woman had gradually lost a great number of eyebrow hairs and was constantly trying to fill her eyebrows out with a pencil. Tired of the extra work she had to put in, she decided to speak with a Los Angeles plastic surgeon about her options for permanent makeup.
Similar to tattooing, permanent makeup is a process that involves using a small vibrating needle to inject micropigment underneath the skin, providing lasting color or definition. The treatment, called micropigmentation, is often used to create fuller, more well-defined eyebrows for patients who have light or thin brows. For this patient, her physician at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates would custom match the color of her eyebrows to ensure a more natural look for her. Overall, the procedure would be very quick and the patient would experience only minor discomfort.
When her surgeon was finished applying her permanent makeup in Los Angeles, this patient’s eyebrows were dramatically restored. Compared to her “before” photos, her eyebrows are now darker and fuller. She was very pleased with the results and happy that she is free from pencil application.
