Details for Case #12768
This 56-year-old woman had never had much hair growth on her eyebrows and eyes, so for years, she had been using eyeliner and an eyebrow pencil to give her features more definition. Wanting to make her life a little easier, she decided to find a talented Los Angeles plastic surgeon who offered permanent makeup for adding definition to the brows and eyes. After some consideration, she decided to schedule a consultation at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates.
When she met with her surgeon, she explained her frustration and asked about permanent makeup. Her surgeon listened to her concerns and after examining her brows and eyes, said she was an ideal candidate for permanent makeup. To produce more natural results, he would use small hair-like strokes on her brows and a dark black around her eyes to make them pop.
Micropigmentation, or permanent makeup, uses a small, vibrating needle to inject micropigment under the skin to add color or definition. The process is very similar to tattooing and can be used on the brows, eyes, lips or on other areas of the body.
When this patient’s surgeon finished applying her permanent makeup in Los Angeles, her eyes were dramatically defined and her brows looked full and natural. She was very pleased with the results.
