- Nose Reshaping
Details for Case #10414
This 30-year-old woman wanted to give her nose a smoother look and felt that she would be more satisfied with her nose if she could reduce her prominent nasal “hump.” First, she consulted with one of the Los Angeles rhinoplasty surgeons at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates. To meet her goals, her surgeon suggested a procedure that would reduce her prominent nasal dorsum (nasal bridge), giving it a straighter appearance.
Rhinoplasty surgery is performed under general anesthesia, so the patient is asleep for the duration of the procedure. This allows the surgeon more precise control over the surgical process. In most cases, the surgeon will reduce the a nasal “hump” through an incision created between the nostrils, allowing him to reduce the cartilage and bone at the nasal bridge, adjust the soft tissues at the tip of the nose, and make any other necessary enhancements to the nose’s structure and appearance. Afterward, the surgeon closes the incision and applies bandages.
This patient’s side-view photos give a good perspective of the significant improvement her procedure has made to the appearance of her nose. Beforehand, her nose arched noticeably, but after her rhinoplasty in Los Angeles her nose has a straighter, gently curved bridge that matches very well with her facial features and with the goals she outlined in her consultation. She is healing nicely, and is already very happy with her results.
