- Nose Reshaping
Details for Case #10369
This 35-year-old woman from Marina del Rey desired nose reshaping surgery (rhinoplasty) to improve her overall appearance. She was bothered by her profile in particular. Her first priority was to remove the bump on the dorsum of her nose. Also, she desired a perkier nasal tip and wanted to shorten her nose somewhat to have more ideal nasal proportions. She hoped to reshape her nose in a way that better matched her otherwise feminine features.
She chose to consult with us because she was referred by a friend, she wanted a board certified plastic surgeon, and she wanted a surgeon who specialized in noses. We discussed her desires, performed a thorough examination, and formulated a plan with her to accomplish her goals.
In the operating room we performed a closed rhinoplasty procedure. This concealed all incisions inside of the nose where they were not visible to others. We reduced the bump on her dorsum by removing cartilage and bone. We then moved the nasal bones together so that her nose would be less broad on a frontal view. We then lifted the tip of the nose somewhat to make it more perky and shorten its overall length.
She had a smooth recovery from the rhinoplasty surgery and was very pleased with her results. She is shown here before and two months following her rhinoplasty surgery.
