- Nose Reshaping
Details for Case #10146
This 38-year-old man didn’t like the size or shape of his nose, especially the way it hooked downward. He wanted his nose to be smaller, but still look masculine, so he began researching rhinoplasty and looking for a highly-qualified Los Angeles cosmetic surgeon.
When he came in for his consultation at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates, he expressed his concern to his surgeon and explained how he wanted his nose to look after surgery. His surgeon listened carefully and explained that he had a few options for how he wanted his rhinoplasty to be performed. Rhinoplasty can be performed using an “open” or “closed” approach. An “open” rhinoplasty uses an incision at the base of the nose, between the nostrils, while a “closed” rhinoplasty makes no visible incisions. Depending on how much the patient wants to change, one method might be more appropriate than the other.
One month following his Los Angeles rhinoplasty surgery, his postoperative photos were taken. As can be seen in his photos, his nose is radically transformed: it now has an even slope and has no hook at the base. He was very happy with the results and was happy he decided to have the surgery.
