Details for Case #9151
This 30-year-old woman was generally unhappy with the look of her breasts. She felt that her breasts were too small and deflated and was uncomfortable with the look of her nipples. She suffered from a condition called inverted nipples, where the nipples point inward rather than projecting outward. About 2% of all women suffer from this condition which can cause many women to feel negatively about their bodies. After doing some research, this woman decided to find a Los Angeles cosmetic surgeon who could perform both a breast augmentation and nipple surgery.
This patient decided to schedule a consultation with one of the talented Marina Plastic Surgery Associates plastic surgeons. Having had extensive experience with both nipple correction and breast augmentation, her surgeon recommended that he perform a special technique to preserve the function and sensitivity of her nipples after inserting her 600cc Moderate Plus Profile silicone gel implants into a pocket below the muscle. The breast implants would be placed using an incision around the areolas, or the darker skin around the nipple, and once the incision was closed, her surgeon would be able to address her nipple inversion.
Six weeks after her surgery, this patient’s nipples looked healthy and normal, as can be seen in the “after” photos. They no longer “puckered” inward, and with the added boost of her breast augmentation, her breasts look fuller and more feminine. She was very pleased with the results of her surgery and glad that she had finally decided to undergo inverted nipple surgery.
