- Injectable Fillers
Details for Case #12391
Recently, this 44-year-old woman had noticed that dark circles had developed beneath her eyes, making her look exhausted even though she wasn’t. Concerned about looking tired, she started exploring nonsurgical options for treating dark circles and decided to look for a Los Angeles plastic surgeon who offered many different types of treatments. After some thought, she decided to contact Marina Plastic Surgery Associates for a consultation.
Her best nonsurgical option for treating dark circles was to use an injectable filler to add volume to her under-eye skin. Her surgeon recommended that she try Restylane®, which is commonly used to treat under the eyes and create a more well-rested appearance. Restylane works by injecting the natural chemical hyaluronic acid under the skin and then the chemical plumps the skin by reacting with the water in your skin. With the added volume, dark circles are diminished, creating a much more alert appearance.
This patient had her “before” photos taken prior to being treated with a 1.0 cc syringe of Restylane under her eyes. Just after the treatment, her photo was taken again to show the improvement. As can be seen, her dark circles are diminished and the skin below her eyes looks much more evenly toned in her “after” photos. She said that she was very happy with her subtle improvement after being treated with Restylane in Los Angeles.
