- Injectable Fillers
Details for Case #12351
This 49 year old woman didn’t like the appearance of her nose, but was a little hesitant about “going under the knife” and having surgical rhinoplasty in Los Angeles.
During her consultation at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates, she learned more about the use of injectable fillers for nose revision. While fillers generally cannot correct the appearance of an overly large nose, they are effective in adding volume to augment the nose. This means that smaller noses and noses with a slope, bump or indentation can be corrected.
After reviewing her options, this patient chose 1 syringe of Restylane® to smooth the contours of her nose. As you can see in her “before” picture, she had a prominent bump on the bridge of her nose. The filler was used to add volume to the tip of the nose, creating a smooth line from the tip all the way to the eyebrows. She is very happy that she was able to achieve such remarkable results without surgery. “Injectable nose jobs” need to be repeated roughly every 6 to 9 months to maintain results, since the filler product is gradually reabsorbed by the body.
