- Injectable Fillers
Details for Case #11901
This 45 year-old mother felt unhappy with the way that aging had resulted in a “deflated” look in her face. To rejuvenate those areas, we used RADIESSE® on the creases between her nose and mouth, known as nasolabial folds, and marionette lines at our Los Angeles plastic surgery practice.
For patients with noticeable facial skin creases or wrinkles, injectable fillers such as RADIESSE may provide an effective, attractive solution. Both safe and long-lasting, RADIESSE supplements aging’s skin depleted collagen and is a natural alternative to fillers made from other materials. Composed of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel, RADIESSE adds volume initially. Then, after 3 months, those microspheres provide a framework for new collagen as its production increases.
The in-office treatments take only about 15 minutes. After applying local anesthetic to the targeted areas, we inject RADIESSE into those wrinkles using a tiny needle. There is no downtime, and any discomfort can be managed with medication. Because the improvements appear immediately, patients can determine whether they are satisfied with the results or want some modifications. One treatment, as was the case with this 45-year-old mother, usually suffices.
