This 49-year-old woman wanted to look more youthful, feeling that the sagging skin around her jaw line and below her chin made her look older. She decided that it was time to find a Los Angeles face lift surgeon to discuss her options. She scheduled a consultation with one of the board-certified plastic surgeons at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates with the hope that he could rejuvenate her face, making her look younger and revitalized.

When she met with her surgeon, she explained her concerns while he listened, and after examining her face, he recommended that he perform a lower facelift. This particular type of facelift treats the lower portion of the face (from the cheeks to the chin/neck) by tightening the muscle and skin so that the sagging skin is “lifted.” Because the facelift would pull the skin upward, the skin on the neck is also lifted to some degree; however, for more dramatic sagging on the neck, a neck lift may be required.

Less than one year after this patient’s plastic surgery in Los Angeles was completed, these “after” photos were taken. Already she looks years younger and she has a smoother, less wrinkled complexion. She was very happy with the results and felt more confident in the new, rejuvenated look of her neck and face.
