Eyelid Surgery Case

This 51-year-old woman was bothered by her heavy lids and sagging neck and jowls which made her look tired and worn. She decided it was time to do something about it, so she made an appointment with one of the board-certified plastic surgeons at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates. During her consultation, her surgeon examined the area around her eyes as well as her jaw line and came to the conclusion that a facelift should tighten the area around her jaw and upper and lower eyelid surgery combined with a brow lift should open up the area around her eyes.

Her surgeon performed an endoscopic brow lift in Los Angeles at our office. During an endoscopic brow lift, the surgeon makes several small incisions in the patient’s hairline and then inserts a small video device to see. The surgeon will use very small instruments to lift the brow, minimizing the surgery’s impact on the patient’s body. This procedure in conjunction with the eyelid surgery can make the eyes appear much more youthful and open.

After her surgery, this patient’s eyes are much brighter and awake. Additionally, her neck and jaw line are might tighter as can be clearly seen in the side view of the “after” photos.
