This 61-year-old woman came to Marina Plastic Surgery Associates because she wanted to shave a few years off of her appearance. She has been unhappy with the look of her neck, lower face and eyes for some time and decided to look for a Los Angles or Santa Monica plastic surgeon who could help her turn back the clock.

When she came in for her consultation, she and her surgeon discussed which surgeries would best address her concerns. He surgeon suggested that she consider a facelift, which would treat the sagging skin along her jowl and neck, and eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, which would treat the sagging skin above her eyes. He would use a less-invasive technique, called a short incision facelift, which has minimal visible scaring and promotes a quicker recovery in addition to using the latest laser technology to encourage better healing with the blepharoplasty. To minimize the recovery time even more, her surgeon would perform the procedures in conjunction with each other rather than in separate stages.

When her consultation was over, she eagerly scheduled her surgery and when her Los Angeles blepharoplasty and facelift were completed, she was thrilled with the results. As can be seen in her “after” photos, this patient’s face is dramatically rejuvenated; her eyes appear more open, alert and youthful and her jowl is smooth, taut and even. She particularly enjoyed her natural and younger appearance after surgery.
