- Breast Reduction (for Women)
Details for Case #8443
This 45 year old woman from Salinas, California traveled to our practice for a Beverly Hills Breast Reduction along with a Laser Bra breast lift. At her consultation her surgeon noted a prominent case of macromastia (excessive breast tissue), along with enlarged nipples and a significant amount of ptosis (drooping of the breast tissue).
Before surgery, this patient was wearing a 38 DDD bra. Her bilateral breast reduction removed 835 grams (almost 2 pounds) of excess tissue from the right breast and 790 grams of tissue from the left breast. Different amounts of tissue removal were required to correct a mild case of breast asymmetry.
This patient traveled to our Southern California practice in part because she had heard such great things about the Laser Bra procedure. By fashioning an “internal brassiere” from skin that otherwise would be discarded, our surgeons are able to create a perky breast appearance that is usually only achieved through the support of a bra. Women who have had a Laser Bra have even remarked to us that they are able to go without wearing a bra and still feel that their breasts are adequately supported.
She is now a 38 C+. The “after” pictures you see her were taken only 2 months after surgery, and already the patient’s scars have healed very nicely. She can expect to see even more fading of her scars in the year after her surgery. She is very happy with her combined breast reduction / breast lift in Southern California.
