Breast Implant Correction Case

This 51 year old woman wanted a breast augmentation revision in the Los Angeles area. She was most concerned with the feel of her existing saline breast implants. Also unhappy with the size of her implants, she scheduled an appointment with a board-certified plastic surgeon at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates for a consultation.

During her consultation, her surgeon carefully listened to her concerns and desires. Together, they agreed that gummy bear implants were a better choice for the feel and size that she wanted. Since “gummy bear implants” are a cohesive gel implant, they have different characteristics than saline implants do. Many of our patients say they like these gummy bear implants better for their breast enlargement in Los Angeles because they look and feel more natural.

During her procedure, the saline implants were removed and replaced with 485 cc cohesive gel implants. Her incisions were carefully closed using sutures and the patient was provided detailed instructions so that she could have a very smooth recovery. Her results turned out fantastic and she is thrilled with both the size, which brought her to a bra size of 34D, and feel of her new gummy bear implants.
