Breast Augmentation Case

This 36-year-old woman wanted to enlarge her breasts through a Los Angeles breast augmentation procedure. She contacted Marina Plastic Surgery Associates and made an appointment with a board-certified plastic surgeon.

During her consultation, her surgeon helped her determine the size and type of implants for her breast augmentation. They determined that 285 cc “gummy bear” silicone gel implants were right for her. These implants are popular because they don’t leak like traditional saline and silicone implants if ruptured. Gummy bear implants are composed of thick silicone gel that won’t run or slosh around inside of the implant. Also, many patients at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates like the natural feel that gummy bear implants have.

During her procedure, the surgeon made incisions around her areolas and inserted the implants into a submuscular pocket. This is a typically very stable position that many patients prefer. After the implants were in place, her incisions were closed and she began the recovery process.

Her breasts still maintain their elevated position even though they are larger in size. Overall, she is pleased with her Los Angeles plastic surgery.
