- Breast Augmentation
Details for Case #6423
This 25-year-old woman made an appointment with a board-certified plastic surgeon at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates. During her appointment she expressed her concern with the appearance of her breasts. She believed that they lacked volume, shape, and the common appearance that most women’s breasts have. Wanting to have natural but more feminine looking breasts, her surgeon helped her plan a Los Angeles breast augmentation procedure.
She decided to go with saline implants, which are popular for their ability to be filled once placed inside the breast pocket. She then decided that she wanted them inserted through areolar incisions in a submuscular position. Her surgeon noticed how her nipples originally pointed toward her midline giving her a “cross-eyed” appearance. He agreed to help correct this during the time of surgery.
During the procedure, her surgeon first made incisions around her areolas and lifted her skin to create her submuscular pockets. Once enough room was made for the implants, he inserted 250 cc moderate profile saline implants into these pockets. When the implants were sturdily placed, her incisions were closed, her breasts were wrapped in gauze, and she was taken to a recovery room to begin the healing process.
The procedure gave her breasts more fullness in the cleavage area, improving her breast shape as well as size. She was pleased with the results and happy that she decided to get plastic surgery in L.A.
