Breast Augmentation Case

This 26-year-old woman was concerned with the asymmetry and disproportion of her breasts. She scheduled an appointment with a board-certified plastic surgeon at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates to address her concerns.

During her consultation, she expressed her desire for having breasts of even size. She decided to enlarge her breasts with Los Angeles breast implants. Her case was particularly challenging because of the breast asymmetry in volume and areolar diameter. Since her areolas were different sizes and there was less skin underneath her right areola, this procedure required some special design.

To even out the size, shape, and position of her breasts, her surgeon had to use two different sized implants with different volumes and diameters. Saline, moderate profile implants were used, size 325 cc on her left breast and size 225 cc on her right breast to address some asymmetry. Also, her left inframammary crease was lowered to improve the similarities between the breasts. Her implants were placed through aerolar incisions in submuscular pockets.

Although this case was not easy, her breasts turned out very symmetrical. Not only are her breasts symmetrical, they are much closer in size and very proportional. Her Los Angeles plastic surgeon is very glad that he was able to help her achieve the look that she wanted.
