Details for Case #2140
Saggy skin is a very common result of an extreme weight reduction, and many patients choose to undergo Beverly Hills area liposuction to trim away this thin, loose skin so it looks firmer and healthier. This 39-year-old woman contacted the offices of Marina Plastic Surgery Associates to determine if the excess skin on her upper arm could be corrected effectively through cosmetic surgery.
After consulting with her surgeon, this patient determined that a brachioplasty, or arm lift surgery, would remove the excess skin and create a look she wanted. A brachioplasty is a popular body contouring procedure that trims away undesirable droopy skin from the upper arms and gently tightens the tissues and muscles for firmer, more attractive arms. As this woman’s postoperative photos show, her surgeon was able to eliminate a significant amount of loose skin so that her arms were restored to a natural looking, slimmer shape.
This woman is very pleased that her arms now have better defined contours. Her “after” photos were taken 5 months following surgery, so the scars on her arms still look fresh. Because arm tissue is thin and delicate, it may take longer to heal, depending on the patient’s healing tendencies and skin quality. Although her scars are still fading, this woman is thankful that Long Beach area plastic surgery and her Marina Plastic Surgery doctor were able to give her the look she desired.
